In this role, you will manage the Product Development (PD) team supporting adhesives and coatings for packaging materials with a focus on sustainability. You will drive the development of high-quality and innovative products to meet strategic and financial goals of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Identifying new trends in packaging, adhesives, and coatings technology will be crucial, as you will need to invest resources appropriately to maintain leadership in the industry. You will also develop and implement processes to ensure consistent product development while managing opportunities and risks effectively. Additionally, you will support and execute the Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy, capturing and defending Henkel's intellectual property through patents. Prioritizing global and regional projects, you will assign and leverage resources regionally to ensure timely development, scale-up, and launch of products. Providing technical support to Manufacturing and Quality will enable faster scale-ups, and you will also support and build upon the laboratory safety culture and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Product Development team supporting adhesives and coatings for packaging materials with a focus on sustainability.
• Drive the development of high-quality and innovative products to meet SBU strategic and financial goals.
• Identify new trends in packaging, adhesives, and coatings technology and invest resources appropriately to maintain industry leadership.
• Develop and implement processes to ensure consistent product development while managing opportunities and risks effectively.
• Support and execute the Intellectual Property Strategy and capture and defend Henkel's intellectual property through patents.
• Prioritize global and regional projects, assigning and leveraging resources regionally.
• Ensure timely development, scale-up, and launch of products.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Quality to enable faster scale-ups.
• Support and build upon laboratory safety culture and best practices.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant technology or market.
• 5 years of experience in a relevant technology or market.
• People management and leadership experience preferred.
• Innovation management experience and a track record of commercial success.
• Chemistry knowledge of polyurethanes is preferred.
• Technology scouting experience preferred.
