Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the strategic plan for product development.
- Build iterations to existing products based on direction/feedback provided by product managers.
- Collaborate with R&D to build new 'greenfield' products.
- Drive the development of high-quality, market-leading products that meet or exceed customer needs to stay competitive.
- Ensure products meet all relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure product feasibility and quality.
- Optimize product development processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-market.
- Rapidly respond to changing market conditions and customer feedback to adapt product strategies.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product development team.
- Explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance product development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- 7+ years of experience in product development within household durables, consumer goods, or related B2C industries.
- Proven track record in leading the development of new product concepts, from ideation to market launch. Ability to improve existing products.
- Experience working closely with R&D, design, and engineering teams to ensure the technical feasibility of product ideas.
- In-depth understanding of product development processes, manufacturing methods, and materials.
- Ability to identify consumer needs and translate them into product specifications, aligned with business strategy.
