About the position

The Product Development Manager will lead the development of new pet food products from concept to launch, ensuring they meet market demands and align with company values. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical expertise, and project management skills to drive successful product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ideation, formulation, and execution of new pet food products, ensuring they meet nutritional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable product concepts.
• Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure successful product launches and alignment with company goals.
• Manage the product development lifecycle, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure all products meet safety and quality standards, conducting necessary testing and validations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and ingredient manufacturers to source high-quality materials for product development.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all products comply with local and national food safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Nutrition, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in product development within the pet food or related industry.
• Strong understanding of pet nutrition and ingredient functionality.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research and data analysis.
• Passion for pets and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
