About the position

As a Product Development Operations Coordinator at Really Good Stuff, you will be an integral part of our Product Development team, dedicated to creating innovative products that make a difference. This role is essential in supporting the team by managing various operational tasks that ensure our product development timelines are met efficiently. You will be responsible for data management, vendor coordination, and overseeing the lifecycle of product samples. Your work will involve maintaining essential department tools and reports, which are crucial for the success of our collaborative environment. In this position, you will engage with both foreign and domestic vendors, requesting and managing information that supports product development. You will utilize your skills in Microsoft Excel and Word to create, manipulate, and maintain spreadsheets and documents, ensuring that all communications are tracked through Outlook. Your attention to detail will be vital as you maintain accurate product development and sourcing data, ensuring that all paperwork is up-to-date throughout the product lifecycle. You will also be responsible for reviewing and managing product samples, ensuring their accuracy and quality, and coordinating shipping to the photography team while tracking shipping expenses. Additionally, you will confirm and review system data related to product approvals, purchase orders, and warehouse receiving, while maintaining an archive of proprietary items in collaboration with the Quality Assurance department. Your role will require you to attend and contribute to cross-functional and milestone meetings, assisting the Product Development and Sourcing Department with various projects to support overall business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Request and manage information from both foreign and domestic vendors to support product development.
  • Create, manipulate, and maintain spreadsheets and documents using MS Excel and Word.
  • Keep track of emails and communications through Outlook.
  • Maintain accurate product development and sourcing data and reports throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Review, manage, and ensure the accuracy and quality of product samples.
  • Coordinate shipping to the photography team and track shipping expenses.
  • Confirm and review system data related to product approvals, purchase orders, shipping, and warehouse receiving.
  • Maintain an archive of proprietary items, ensuring the quality and accuracy of final samples.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department for archiving and vendor returns.
  • Attend and contribute to cross-functional and milestone meetings, assisting the Product Development and Sourcing Department with various projects.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly strong skills in Excel, along with proficiency in Word and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical abilities, time management, problem-solving skills, and organizational prowess.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Previous experience in operations and vendor relationship management is highly desirable.
