About the position

The Product Development Professional plays a crucial role in supporting product managers throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with underwriting philosophy and regulations on a state-by-state basis. This position involves collaboration with IT teams, maintaining product templates, and responding to business requests while ensuring quality solutions are delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to product managers throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting philosophy and regulations on a state-by-state basis.
  • Develop and communicate rate and rule/form change specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize changes according to the rate and rule/form change schedule.
  • Deliver quality solutions for key individual errors/defects on time.
  • Maintain forms and product templates for mandated language globally.
  • Respond to ad-hoc business requests, including coverage questions and product analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between business, actuarial, and IT by communicating acceptance criteria for rate and product changes.
  • Support product maintenance and implementation activities for insurance products.
  • Assist Product Managers with multi-state implementation of rule or form changes.
  • Respond to underwriting questions about products, coverages, and system behavior.
  • Ensure timely implementation of quality solutions for key individual defects within stated SLAs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for accurate and timely completion of communications and processes.
  • Provide information to Product Managers for product proposals and track changes at the state level.
  • Manage the collection, development, analysis, documentation, and communication of acceptance criteria.
  • Assist in maximizing market opportunities to achieve targets and financial efficiency.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in Product Development, Insurance industry, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and/or commensurate work experience.
