About the position

As a Product Development Senior Manager at CVS Health, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and enhancing the product offerings within our store brand. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with a cross-functional team to develop new products, update existing items, and facilitate the introduction of new brands. Your primary focus will be to achieve front store sales and margin goals while ensuring compliance with quality assurance and regulatory standards. You will partner with the QA/Regulatory division to guarantee that all products are safe for customers and meet the claims stated on our packaging. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting suppliers, managing brokers, negotiating costs, and creating packaging for new items. You will act as the main point of contact for inventory partners, assisting all cross-functional teams in completing their tasks to ensure successful and timely product launches. As part of the Store Brand Team, you will lead initiatives that deliver innovation and technology across all categories, ultimately helping our customers on their journey to better health. Your additional responsibilities will include addressing product availability issues with suppliers and the Inventory Management team, managing relationships with current and potential suppliers, and ensuring that new items and product updates are executed on schedule with the support of Project Managers. You will collaborate with various internal and external partners to ensure that all projects adhere to our established protocols, including innovation, legal, quality, and logistics. Furthermore, you will manage the current assortment of store brand products in assigned categories, ensuring effective communication regarding supplier changes, factory updates, and packaging modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and update existing items.
  • Partner with QA/Regulatory division to ensure compliance with product safety and labeling standards.
  • Select suppliers and manage relationships with brokers and inventory partners.
  • Negotiate costs of goods and create packaging for new items.
  • Address product availability issues with suppliers and the Inventory Management team.
  • Ensure timely execution of new items and product updates with the aid of Project Managers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet project protocols.
  • Manage the current assortment of store brand products in assigned categories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 3 years of consumer product goods development experience with a strong understanding of the Retail/Consumer products industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience utilizing business analytics to build strong business cases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Consulting or Product Innovation experience is a strong plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong influencing skills both oral and written, underpinned by sound analytical capability.
  • Ability to derive insights from customer research and empirical data.
