About the position

Verizon is seeking a Senior Manager for Product Development within the Technology Enablement team, focusing on delivering complex strategic network solutions for government and large enterprise customers. This role is critical as it involves defining a long-term strategy to meet evolving technical requirements while collaborating closely with account teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and quality delivery of a fully diverse and managed network, ensuring high availability and implementing end-to-end automation processes. The position requires a strong understanding of product and project management best practices, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing these solutions. The Senior Manager will also oversee the development of a Managed Service Flow that provides visibility and SLA reporting across various network services, ensuring compliance with government regulations and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the end-to-end development and delivery of complex strategic network solutions.
• Collaborating with product stakeholders, network, access, Managed Services, and security teams to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement the strategic network solution.
• Developing and implementing standard-based API automation to support the network solution's evolution.
• Providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience in product development, particularly in IT development projects for government customers.
• Proven experience coordinating diverse project requirements with multiple providers.
• Familiarity with government compliance regulations and security standards.
• Ability to lead program goals to completion without direction.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

• A Master's degree in a design and/or engineering field.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP).
• Ten or more years of demonstrated full-lifecycle ownership of product development.
• Knowledge of business objectives and creativity in defining product builds.
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with Verizon Wireline Networking, Security, and Managed services.
