About the position

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Product Director for Marketing Engagements & Education focused on Solid Tumor, located in Horsham, PA. This role is integral to the Strategy & Operations team within the commercial organization at Janssen Biotech. The individual will be responsible for implementing strategies, processes, and providing leadership for the Solid Tumor pillar of the Marketing Engagements & Education Team (MEET). This includes overseeing the speaker bureau, sponsorships, and fee-for-service contracting for the Solid Tumor organization. The position requires close collaboration with various teams, including Brand Marketing, Sales Training, Medical Affairs, and Compliance, to effectively execute key commercial activities. The Product Director will report to the Director of Marketing Engagements & Education and will lead the Solid Tumor pillar, ensuring operational excellence in business functions such as Speaker Bureau, Sponsorships, and Fee-for-Service Contracting. Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement, as well as supporting the Director in maintaining MEET policies and training. The role also involves partnering with external contracting organizations to manage and develop contracted individuals in sponsorship and fee-for-service roles. In addition, the Product Director will be accountable for the delivery of key operational workstreams, execution of Solid Tumor Speaker Programs, and coordination of sponsorships in accordance with J&J standard operating procedures. The individual will proactively identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to standardize processes across the portfolio. Project management skills are essential, as the director will develop planning timelines and action plans to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met. The role also emphasizes customer experience, compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines, and the development of marketing competencies and leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Solid Tumor pillar of the Marketing Engagements & Education Team (MEET).
  • Shape the MEET Solid Tumor strategy and provide leadership for the team.
  • Act as a liaison between the MEET Solid Tumor team and Solid Tumor Marketing and Sales Leadership.
  • Manage budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the Director in the creation and maintenance of MEET policies and training.
  • Partner with external contracting organizations for hiring and performance management.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Excellence, Compliance, Legal, and other teams to enhance the Speaker Bureau process.
  • Accountable for the delivery of key operational workstreams and execution of Solid Tumor Speaker Programs.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement.
  • Develop and manage planning timelines and action plans with cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Schedule speaker training, meetings, and events coordination.
  • Collaborate across the matrix to align on speaker program meeting priorities.
  • Implement innovative practices for customer stakeholder experiences at speaker programs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience, including pharmaceutical and healthcare knowledge.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Sales, Sales Training, Professional Education, Operations, or Brand Marketing.
  • Practical knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing, including FDA regulatory and compliance regulations.
  • Proven ability to understand business strategy and translate it into education solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to establish relationships across functions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop by influence.
  • Highly detailed and organized, capable of managing multiple large-scale events.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and executive communication skills.
