About the position

The Product Engagement Credit Card Marketing Manager is responsible for managing marketing initiatives and projects for a defined set of US Merchants, Dealers, and/or Co-brand Partners. This role involves the development and implementation of marketing strategies and creative content, negotiation with partners and vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The manager will oversee customer acquisition marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including direct mail, in-store collateral, email, and online marketing. In this position, the manager will interact directly with partners through presentations, recommendations, negotiations, and regular meetings. They will evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and create strategies to improve future initiatives. Collaboration with Account Managers and other internal groups such as Finance, Operations, Credit, and Risk is essential to develop comprehensive marketing plans for each merchant, dealer, and/or co-branded partner. The manager will also compile and analyze feedback from various internal areas and outside vendors, developing recommendations and incorporating changes into future marketing plans. Additionally, the role includes managing external vendors, providing senior management with regular updates on marketing campaign performance, and overseeing the promotional marketing budget for each assigned partner. The manager will contribute to the development of overall division goals and ensure compliance with all job-relevant state and federal regulations. This position requires a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and maintaining successful audits and exams within all areas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing initiatives and projects for US Merchants, Dealers, and Co-brand Partners.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and creative content.
  • Negotiate with partners and vendors to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines in all marketing efforts.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and create strategies for improvement.
  • Interact directly with partners through presentations and regular meetings.
  • Work closely with Account Managers and other internal groups to develop comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Compile and analyze feedback from internal areas and outside vendors to inform future marketing plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of Public Relations Strategy for assigned partners.
  • Manage external vendors including creative agencies and production vendors.
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Management on marketing campaign performance.
  • Manage promotional marketing budget for each assigned partner.
  • Contribute to the development of overall division goals and implement department strategies and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years related experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial services marketing practices and techniques, ideally in credit cards.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with external partners and internal entities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and turn it into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven organizational skills and vendor management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • PC skills with good general knowledge of related technology systems.
