About the position

The Product Engagement Credit Card Marketing Manager is responsible for managing marketing initiatives and projects for a defined set of US Merchants, Dealers, and/or Co-brand Partners. This role involves the development and implementation of marketing strategies and creative content, negotiation with partners and vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The manager will oversee customer acquisition marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including direct mail, in-store collateral, email, and online marketing. In this position, the manager will interact directly with partners through presentations, recommendations, negotiations, and regular meetings. They will ensure that both TD and partner marketing efforts comply with applicable regulations and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs, creating strategies to improve future initiatives. Collaboration with Account Managers and other internal groups such as Finance, Operations, Credit, and Risk is essential to develop comprehensive marketing plans for each merchant, dealer, and/or co-branded partner. The role also includes managing external vendors, providing senior management with regular updates on marketing campaign performance, and overseeing the promotional marketing budget for each assigned partner. The manager will mentor and supervise less seasoned team members and contribute to the development of overall division goals, establishing and implementing department goals, strategies, programs, policies, and procedures in support of division objectives. Compliance with all job-relevant state and federal regulations is critical, as is ensuring successful audits and exams within all areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and influence the development and implementation of Customer Acquisition marketing initiatives for US Merchants, Dealers, and/or Co-brand Partners.
  • Interact directly with partners through presentations, recommendations, negotiations, and regular meetings.
  • Ensure compliance of TD and partner marketing with applicable regulations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and create strategies for improvement.
  • Work closely with Account Managers and other internal groups to develop comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Compile and analyze feedback from internal areas and outside vendors, developing recommendations for future marketing plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of Public Relations Strategy for assigned partners.
  • Manage external vendors including creative agencies and print production vendors.
  • Provide regular updates on marketing campaign performance to senior management.
  • Manage promotional marketing budget for each assigned partner to ensure proper utilization and optimization.
  • Mentor and supervise less seasoned team members.
  • Contribute to the development of overall division goals and implement department goals, strategies, and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years related experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial services marketing practices and techniques, ideally in credit cards.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of external and internal entities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze data and turn it into recommendations for future marketing strategies.
  • Proven organizational skills and vendor management experience required.
  • Proven ability to manage projects while working well within a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • PC skills with good general knowledge of related technology systems.
