About the position

We are hiring a Product Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI! As a Product Engineer (NPI), you will be effectively engaged in the New Product Introduction process of the reticle defect inspection product line. This role is crucial within the semiconductor and electronics industry, where you will play a key part in reducing program serviceability risk by acting as the Voice of Service throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC) for new products. Your responsibilities will include developing a service strategy that encompasses various aspects of product introduction and lifecycle management. In this position, you will build technical system expertise on assigned subsystems and their diagnostics capabilities. You will become a technical expert in the integration of these subsystems into the overall system, employing a hands-on approach and a system engineering mindset. Your influence will be vital in driving design improvements, as you will submit and track feature requests aimed at enhancing diagnostics and serviceability. Collaboration will be essential as you work to resolve technical problems during the new product life cycle, contributing to service alert meetings and the development of Plans of Action (POA) for critical issues and other sustaining activities. Additionally, you will capture and document Best Known Methods (BKM) and other improvements into a knowledge database, supporting Alpha and Beta Systems, as well as Retrofit upgrades. You will actively manage and support alpha and beta installations in person, auditing procedures, updating existing documents, identifying training gaps, and solving unforeseen problems as they arise. This role requires the ability to work in a clean room environment with appropriate clean room gear and entails domestic and foreign travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Voice of Service throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC) for new products.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years.
