About the position

The Product Engineer (NPI) role at KLA involves engaging in the New Product Introduction process specifically for the reticle defect inspection product line within the semiconductor and electronics industry. The position focuses on reducing serviceability risks by acting as the Voice of Service throughout the Product Life Cycle, developing service strategies, and influencing design improvements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Voice of Service throughout the Product Life Cycle for new products.
• Develop a service strategy that encompasses program serviceability risk reduction.
• Build technical system expertise on assigned subsystems and their diagnostics capabilities.
• Become a technical expert in the integration of assigned subsystems into the overall system.
• Influence design improvements and submit/track feature requests for diagnostics and serviceability.
• Collaborate to resolve technical problems during the new product life cycle.
• Contribute to service alert meetings and Plan of Action (POA) development for critical issues.
• Capture and document Best Known Method (BKM) and other improvements into the knowledge database.
• Support Alpha and Beta Systems, as well as Retrofit upgrades.
• Manage and support alpha & beta installs in-person by auditing procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in product engineering or related field, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry.
• Strong technical expertise in system integration and diagnostics.
• Ability to influence design improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing product life cycles and service strategies.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with reticle defect inspection technologies.
• Experience with service alert meetings and Plan of Action (POA) development.
• Knowledge of knowledge management systems.
