About the position

The Product Engineer at TEL is responsible for preparing design inputs and product specifications for Thin Films Deposition products, focusing on customer high volume manufacturing and technology development requirements. This role involves collaboration with various teams including factory, process engineering, field service, and technical support to enhance product offerings and resolve field issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design input for new high volume manufacturing (HVM) and development systems in collaboration with R&D and factory teams.
• Conduct technical examinations of customer system modification requests in partnership with the factory.
• Support product lifecycle from design through manufacturing, startup, and process qualification by interfacing with field support, process development, factory, and customers.
• Collaborate with factory and field teams to develop improvement and upgrade kits.
• Assist field and quality teams in resolving field issues promptly.
• Work with OEM suppliers to select improved system-related parts.
• Manage every system order as a project to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 5 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
• Previous experience in field engineering support or technical support of semiconductor equipment is preferred.
• Excellent customer interface skills are required.
• Experience working with multifunctional teams in a project-driven environment is preferable.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (about 40%).
