About the position

As the Product Engineering Senior Technical Manager at Solventum, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Product Engineering organization for the Purification and Filtration Business. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about healthcare innovation and are eager to make a significant impact in the field. You will be responsible for optimizing the Change Management Process (CMP) and ensuring that design controls for launched products are effectively implemented. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and delivering strategic and operational plans that align with the goals of Product Engineering, while also supporting the Business Units and Laboratory Operating Committee. In this role, you will be tasked with designing and executing projects that not only support Product Engineering but also enhance the overall business operations. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that every solution we create is at the intersection of health, material, and data science. Your ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects will be essential in driving the success of our initiatives and ultimately improving patient outcomes. This role is hybrid eligible, allowing for some remote work while requiring travel to our Maplewood or Purification & Filtration offices at least three days per week. You will also have the chance to engage in international travel, which may include up to 20% of your time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Product Engineering organization for Purification and Filtration Business.
  • Optimize the Change Management Process (CMP) and design controls for launched products.
  • Develop and deliver strategic and operational plans for Product Engineering.
  • Support the Business Units and Laboratory Operating Committee.
  • Design and execute projects supporting Product Engineering, the Lab, and the overall business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND five years experience leading technical teams (R D, PE, QA, MTD, etc).
  • High School Diploma/GED AND ten years experience leading technical teams.
  • Four years experience creating or overseeing the creation of design control documents.
  • Ten years experience working in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters degree in business administration and/or scientific discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Fifteen years experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Skills in project management, people management, written and oral communication.
