About the position

The Chief Product Owner for the US Payments Delivery team at TD Bank is responsible for leading a team of product owners to develop and enhance Payments capabilities through Agile methodologies. This role involves managing the product backlog, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative payment solutions that facilitate digital commerce and money movement. The position requires strategic direction in product development, market analysis, and effective team management to meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product owners to build Payments capabilities via Agile development teams.
  • Own the overarching product backlog aligned to the Payments vision.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of payment solutions.
  • Conduct customer, competitive, and technical research to define MVP solutions.
  • Manage the development of Payments capabilities, including technical and non-technical aspects.
  • Provide people management leadership, including hiring, goal setting, and performance management.
  • Formulate strategy and policy for the product portfolio.
  • Review and approve business and expense plans, tracking success and effectiveness of product delivery.
  • Develop and manage the product development calendar and oversee execution of deliverables.
  • Conduct market research and recommend methods for growing existing markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in a related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience in product management.
  • Proven senior management leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and drive product strategies throughout the organization.
  • Experience in product research, analysis, and development.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative business relationships.
  • Experience in project management and delivering on time and within budget.
  • Expert knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
