About the position

The Product Growth Sr. Technical Manager at Chemours is responsible for leading a diverse team of scientists to develop innovative solutions for thermal management, focusing on new refrigerant technologies and immersion cooling technology. This role emphasizes collaboration, agility, and safety while driving business strategy and ensuring project results align with Chemours' goals of sustainability and market leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of holistic safety in the laboratory and office.
  • Lead the team through the implementation and execution of the Agile methodology for project management.
  • Ensure a monthly sprint approach for effective backlog planning and execution across multi-functional project teams.
  • Partner with Technical Service, Marketing, and Business Development to build an ideation pipeline for New Product Development (NPD).
  • Assess technical gaps to accelerate product development outcomes through partnerships for open or collaborative innovation.
  • Secure grants to obtain external funding for project execution with attractive reinvestment economics.
  • Manage the Product Growth budget to meet or exceed business financial goals.
  • Lead the monthly process to manage the TSS capital budget aligned with business priorities.
  • Provide guidance and allocate technical resources to achieve business objectives for strategic projects.
  • Demonstrate leadership and responsibility for Chemours' values, resulting in no safety incidents and no ethics violations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and drive business results.
  • Familiarity with product development and process technology in the chemical industry.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive clarity and alignment through courageous conversations.
  • Strong networking and communication skills.
