About the position

The Product Lead Director at Clever Devices is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing product planning and strategy, ensuring that product development aligns with the company's overall goals. This position involves managing a team of Product Managers and Product Specialists, guiding them through the product lifecycle, and collaborating with Sales and Marketing to meet revenue and customer satisfaction targets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Product Managers and Product Specialists conduct all product lifecycle activities including gathering product requirements, defining product vision, and working with Engineering to release quality products, on-time.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Oversee definition of product strategy and roadmap delivered by the Product Managers and Product Specialists.
  • Oversee Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • Serve as an expert with regards to competition.
  • Perform product demonstrations with Sales as required.
  • Oversee establishment of pricing as well as revenue and profitability forecasts.
  • Oversee development of Sales tools and collateral materials.
  • Champion product opportunities within the company.
  • Recommend product enhancements and provide overall projected budget for such.
  • Brief and train sales force and Project Managers.
  • Brief press and analysts in conjunction with Marketing for the purpose of press tours.
  • Serve as leader and product expert within the company.
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
  • Be responsible for productivity of Product Managers and Product Specialists.
  • Manage, develop and retain staff.

Requirements

  • 15+ years Product Manager experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
  • 5+ years development experience in a technology environment
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong budgeting and cost/profitability forecasting skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a complete manner
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook as well as ability to learn new software programs such as Axapta
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technology related discipline, or equivalent experience required.
