About the position

The Product Line Engineer role at TPI Staffing involves overseeing quality assurance processes within the assigned Product Group Line/Value Stream. The engineer will be responsible for conducting inspections, resolving quality issues, and maintaining documentation related to inspection and testing. This position requires a strong background in engineering, particularly in automation and control systems, and emphasizes continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform 'First Piece' inspection throughout assigned Product Group Line / Value Stream
• Perform 'Final' inspection throughout assigned Product Group Line / Value Stream
• Assist Product Group Line / Value Stream in quality problem resolution
• Perform in-process audits throughout Product Group Line / Value Stream
• Document all inspection and testing results
• Maintain all document files and test records in an accurate manner
• Initiate non-conformance report and assist in corrective/preventive action report determination
• Perform 100% inspection/sorting as required
• Assist with writing and updating of inspection procedures and checklists
• Support actively all H-F Continuous Improvement efforts
• Verify with Gage Calibration that all inspection standards/gages are calibrated and kept up to date

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering
• 10 years of work experience in a sustaining, hardware support or product engineering role
• 5 years working in an automation or control systems engineer role within a manufacturing or project engineering environment
• Experience working with RTUs, PLCs, and Variable Frequency Drives
• Knowledge of Serial & TCP communications networks, and analog and digital instrumentation and control
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge with ability to learn new computer software programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present to senior management
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
