About the position

The Product Line Manager for Aerostructures is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the assigned product line from conceptual stages through its life cycle. The role focuses on optimizing profits while meeting marketing, financial, and growth objectives. This position involves leading product line strategy, coordinating technical product development, and supporting sales and marketing efforts to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall product line strategy and facilitate research and development requirements.
  • Coordinate technical product development and estimate potential profits by product line segments.
  • Manage day-to-day progress of Product, Pricing, Positioning, and Placement.
  • Assist the Sales team by providing insights, tools, and product line expertise.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customers and market requirements for products.
  • Prepare marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for the assigned product line.
  • Track market trends in target markets and prepare product development objectives.
  • Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products.
  • Maintain relations with manufacturers' reps and direct sales or field sales reps.
  • Provide technical answers to inquiries related to the assigned product line.
  • Produce competitive analysis materials comparing products with key competitors.
  • Develop new product line customers while maintaining existing business base.
  • Initiate and execute strategies to capture additional product line business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university.
  • Four to five years' experience with fabricated parts and structural assemblies for military or commercial aviation.
  • Experience with regulatory approval processes for STC applications with the FAA and/or EASA is preferred.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings from aerospace parts manufacturers is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Conversational skills in any other language are a plus.
