About the position

The Product Line Manager - IT Cooling is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, market positioning, and financial performance of the IT Cooling product line at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products. This role focuses on driving market growth, profitability, and product innovation while ensuring alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the Critical Power Division.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all product lines for CPSD IT Cooling.
  • Manage Profit and Loss results of the Product Line.
  • Confer with Division staff and Company staff to plan business objectives and coordinate functions and operations departments.
  • Establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Plan strategies for product development, market growth, and profitability.
  • Prepare business plans for presentation to and approval of the Company staff.
  • Monitor activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and revise objectives accordingly.
  • Manage the budgets of the department.
  • Oversee responsibilities for the product line, including inside sales, operations, supply chain, application engineering, and quality.
  • Direct staff according to Company policies to achieve division and department objectives.
  • Develop employees through training and continuing education opportunities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide input for salary decisions.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT Cooling products from development through end-of-life.
  • Ensure product quality and performance meet market standards and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage product proposals, negotiate contracts, and conduct risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical/commercial field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering, sales, and contract negotiation experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of IT Cooling products and services.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing Profit and Loss.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, understand, and negotiate contracts and proposal language.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments, particularly with Italian and Japanese cultures.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales within the IT Cooling segment.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
