About the position

The Product Line Manager (PLM) at Amphenol TCS is responsible for managing the product line's profitability and growth within the High Speed Backplane team. This role involves identifying target markets, building customer relationships, and collaborating with engineering and sales teams to develop and launch new products. The PLM will also drive pricing strategies and cost-effective supply chain solutions while ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.

Responsibilities

• Identify target markets and customers to grow the product line.
• Build strong technical and business relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Development Engineering, Sales, and customers to identify marketplace needs.
• Develop and drive pricing and capital investment strategies.
• Work with manufacturing plants to optimize the product line's supply chain.
• Implement cost down/value engineering projects in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Drive improvements in product line P&L by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions.
• Support regional sales teams with product training and knowledge.
• Monitor industry standards to stay ahead of market changes.
• Support new business development through customer engagement and video calls.
• Generate business proposals and contracts, negotiating win/win solutions.
• Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events as needed.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering with a completed or in-process MBA.
• 2-4 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering disciplines.
• Strong financial, marketing, and business acumen.
• High competency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel as needed.
