About the position

The Product Line Manager at Stoneridge, Inc. is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive product line plans to maximize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role involves overseeing key activities impacting the profit and loss of product lines, managing product pricing, and driving profitability improvement projects. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective product line strategy implementation and will be responsible for market analysis and competitive benchmarking to guide product development and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Product Line Plans to maximize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee key activities impacting the Profit and Loss of each product line, including warranty and change management.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to implement product line strategy effectively.
  • Manage product pricing and execute profitability improvement projects through business development and cost reductions.
  • Develop and direct market pricing models and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Analyze market, industry, and competitive trends to guide Product Line direction.
  • Ensure competitive cost structures by collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and finance teams.
  • Drive early market development for new offerings and execute production strategies for various product lines.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and develop insights on competition and market positioning.
  • Develop strategic product and technology roadmaps in partnership with Engineering to maximize growth and profitability.
  • Manage advanced development product lifecycle to improve profitability across product segments.
  • Provide technical direction to manufacturing engineers and monitor capacity and long-term initiatives.
  • Engage in merger and acquisition synergy and business case analysis.
  • Make recommendations to expand product base and track product impact on end users.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a global business development position within the automotive industry for an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  • 5 years of experience working with electromechanical devices in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in developing strategic product and technology roadmaps and product development.
  • B2B product marketing experience and ability to generate new market leads.
  • Experience managing a diverse team in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding and analytical capability.
  • Ability to collect, synthesize, and interpret data to recommend direction.
