About the position

The Product Line Manager - Airframes is responsible for conducting market competitive analysis, providing technical support, and developing pricing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals for the organization. This role involves assisting the sales team with airframe material sales, engaging in the review and procurement of aircraft and surplus packages, and managing the valuation and technical assessments of assets. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Director of Airframe Product Lines and VPs of Sales, to ensure effective purchasing and sales strategies in the commercial aircraft parts aftermarket.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate whole assets for acquisition and determine strategy to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Manage disassembly process, coordinate drop shipments, and select appropriate component repair stations to streamline cost and TAT (Turn-Around-Time).
  • Ensure material is properly certified and readily available for the sales team to support customers.
  • Maintain a current pricing structure for the managed material.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage targeted revenues focusing on aged inventory for faster redeployment of investment.
  • Assist the Director of Product Lines in the valuation of opportunities with relevant forecast data for approval.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in line with the Company's ROI/IRR.
  • Develop a team of Strategic buyers to review demand based on internal data and market knowledge.
  • Report on specific sales monthly regarding material acquired and sales targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in material and sales roles within the aviation industry.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with buyers and sellers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of asset management processes, including negotiating and managing contractual requirements.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize various opportunities effectively.
  • Experience in a team environment, aiding Technical, Repairs, and Strategic Purchasing departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, aviation management, or a related field.
