About the position

The Product Line Manager at Primal Wear is responsible for overseeing the entire product development process, including managing licensing programs and product catalogs. This role emphasizes collaboration across various departments to ensure timely project completion and effective communication of product ideas and statuses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming projects from the R&D office and follow up on status and timelines.
  • Communicate new product ideas to the R&D office, providing samples, pricing requirements, and relevant market research.
  • Confirm sizing on all new products and ensure product costs are within target range.
  • Regularly update the management team on the status of all product development projects.
  • Prioritize new and existing projects in collaboration with the management team.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams on the launch of new products and internal rollouts.
  • Address product defects and quality control issues, presenting resolutions to the management team.
  • Collaborate with the R&D office to resolve product, material, or production issues.
  • Actively manage inline projects through the design and ordering process.
  • Participate in inline design review meetings to assess design and color trends.
  • Assist the creative team with design direction for new inline designs.
  • Oversee the implementation of new collections for presentations and seasonal releases.
  • Complete administrative tasks necessary for launching new inline products.
  • Coordinate with the E-Commerce team and management on inline stock orders.
  • Manage inline inventory of top-performing items and overstocks with the marketing team.
  • Work with marketing and event teams to determine inline designs for retail programs.
  • Cultivate relationships with all Primal licensors and process new licensed designs through approvals.
  • Assist the creative team in art direction for new licensed product designs.
  • Maintain Primal's catalog of licensor contracts and assess ROI on licensed contracts annually.
  • Source additional materials for licensed products to enhance product value.
  • Manage changes to custom product specifications across platforms.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Primal products and train employees on them.
  • Order and maintain custom samples and fit kits.
