About the position

The Product Line Manager at Silgan Dispensing is responsible for driving business development and profitability within the fragrance category. This role serves as a crucial link between Sales, Marketing, and Operations, focusing on aligning commercial opportunities with manufacturing and financial outcomes. The manager will engage with both internal and external partners to enhance existing product lines, identify new product opportunities, and implement effective pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain a deep understanding of the North American Fragrance market to develop market strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct market mapping per customer per brand.
  • Understand filling locations and processes (in-house/fillers).
  • Network with industry partners in North America and Latin America to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Perform competitor analysis regarding manufacturing locations and products.
  • Conduct trend analysis for product line management.
  • Ensure clear product positioning within the SDS fragrance portfolio.
  • Understand costs per product and benchmark against other Silgan production facilities.
  • Enhance margins and control capacity recommendations.
  • Expand the product portfolio with new features and specifications.
  • Support the Sales Team with value propositions and messaging.
  • Assist in standard price strategy and updates, including pricing for RFQs and custom project quotes.
  • Generate and update sales tools such as technical catalogues and sales kits.
  • Conduct customer visits and presentations.
  • Execute trade show activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher from a four-year college or university.
  • Four (4) plus years of related experience in the Fragrance, Beauty, Personal Care, and/or Packaging Industry.
  • 8-10 years of Product Line Management experience.
  • High proficiency in English and Excel is required.
  • French language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus but not mandatory.
