About the position

As a Product Management Analyst Intern at Berkley Alternative Markets Tech, you will embark on a 10-week summer internship program designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the commercial insurance industry. As a Product Management Intern, your daily tasks will include assisting in writing product requirements, creating tickets for frontend and backend features, and collaborating with developers to enhance product features and processes. You will also be involved in testing product features to ensure quality and user impact, delivering results by curating ideas and implementing the most promising ones, and focusing on data by reviewing your objectives and key results (OKRs) regularly. Understanding our customers will be a key aspect of your role, as you will be expected to gather and analyze customer feedback to anticipate their needs and improve their experiences. Finally, you will learn how to prioritize problems effectively and challenge the status quo by working across various teams to reimagine processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing product requirements and creating tickets for frontend and backend features.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance product features and ongoing processes.
• Test product features to validate quality and user impact.
• Curate the best ideas, hypothesize their value, and implement the most promising solutions.
• Regularly review objectives and key results (OKRs) to quantify results and present findings to stakeholders.
• Expose yourself to customer feedback to anticipate needs and improve experiences.
• Learn to prioritize problems and weigh short-term and long-term trade-offs.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new things and a track record of self-learning.
• Experience with SQL is a plus.
• Ability to read object-oriented code is a plus.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (open to all degrees and majors).
