As an intern, you will deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges while building enduring relationships in a collaborative culture with your manager and an assigned mentor. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. As a Product Management Analyst Intern, you will work under direct supervision and follow risk and compliance procedures and guidance. You will contribute to Personal Lines State Management or National Product Management by performing various tasks. Your responsibilities will include performing analyses to influence strategy and tactics to improve the profitability and growth for personal lines insurance products such as Auto, Homeowners, and Renters for assigned state(s) or on the National Product team. You will monitor, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate profitability, competitiveness, and sales performance within defined guidelines and frameworks. Additionally, you will use your analytical and technical knowledge to identify and develop plans for business opportunities and challenges. You will generate reports in Excel, Tableau, or other analysis tools to measure key performance metrics for personal insurance. Utilizing tools like Snowflake, SAS, SQL, and data cubes, you will gather data to inform root cause analysis of risk and compliance issues and business performance trends for assigned state(s) and lines of business. Furthermore, you will develop knowledge of current state laws and regulatory environments for assigned states to ensure compliance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses to influence strategy and tactics to improve profitability and growth for personal lines insurance products.
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate profitability, competitiveness, and sales performance.
  • Use analytical and technical knowledge to identify and develop plans for business opportunities and challenges.
  • Generate reports in Excel, Tableau, or other analysis tools to measure key performance metrics for personal insurance.
  • Gather data using Snowflake, SAS, SQL, and other data mining tools to inform root cause analysis of risk and compliance issues.
  • Develop knowledge of current state laws and regulatory environments for assigned states to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, with a graduation date after the final day of the internship.
  • Relevant experience conducting research, compiling, and analyzing data.
  • Working experience with data querying tools and dashboards.
  • Foundational level of knowledge in business operations, industry practices, and emerging trends.
  • Foundational and conceptual knowledge of the function/subject area and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills, and abilities towards work products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Pursuing a degree with a concentration in Insurance, Business, Finance, Risk Management, Marketing, Economics, Data & Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Graduation date between August 2025 and July 2026.
  • Experience in Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or other analytical or software tools through class projects, employment, or organizational roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability through previous internships, employment, extra-curricular activities, community service, or other involvement.
