About the position

The Product Management Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the occasion team and manager by focusing on merchandising strategies across various product categories. This hybrid position, based in Westlake, Ohio, emphasizes maximizing retail sales productivity through effective planning and execution of merchandising concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist manager in all aspects of the occasion planning process and execution.
  • Help achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and execute POG/merchandising strategies.
  • Establish merchandising concepts and standards for assigned occasions.
  • Determine optimal mix and presentation of product for maximum productivity.
  • Conduct physical experimentation, setup, and review of merchandising techniques.
  • Perform POS and competitive analysis to determine optimal assortment and merchandising for each occasion.
  • Serve as contact with cross-functional business partners to execute merchandising plans.
  • Manage assortment and merchandising information in appropriate systems/tools.
  • Assist with the execution of retailer specific tasks.
  • Learn and understand current processes, innovating and recommending improvements.
  • Assist with research, development, and execution of merchandising and simplification concepts.
  • Attend meetings and represent manager as necessary.
  • Address occasion-related inquiries and questions from internal partners in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all key schedule dates and tasks are executed on time and flawlessly.

Requirements

  • 1+ years prior retail and/or consumer product experience or equivalent internship work.
  • Previous experience working in a professional corporate environment preferred.
  • Previous product merchandising experience preferred.
  • High ability to collaborate and work in a team environment and independently produce results for both long-term projects and short-term requests.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and commitment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative decision-making skills with tolerance for change.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in a business manner with all internal departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong PC skills to include excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product management or merchandising in a corporate setting.
