About the position

Aspen Technology, industry leader in Asset Optimization and Industrial AI software is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to serve as a Product Management Director for the Aspen Supply Chain Management (SCM) suite of solutions. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for helping guide the on-going identification and evolution of key requirements for supply chain management solutions related to Strategic Long-Term Planning, Sales and Operations Planning/Integrated Business Planning, Short Term Planning and Scheduling. You will lead the identification and definition of a wide range of product functionality culminating in multi-year product roadmaps for process industries manufacturers, with a strong focus on Chemicals industries segments.

Responsibilities

  • Engage deeply with clients to fully understand their supply chain decision making business processes and IT environments through research and dialog.
  • Develop and document a detailed picture of our customers' needs and take account of industry trends in developing multi-year product strategies.
  • Look for opportunities where product synergies across the Supply Chain Management suite and the larger AspenTech portfolio can unlock value for customers.
  • Work with R&D, QE and Usability teams to develop detailed use cases and test plans, and help to create workflows that customers can master easily, with minimal learning curve.
  • Work closely with Product Management, R&D, QE, User Experience Design, Product Marketing, Professional Services, Implementation Services Partners, and Global Consulting/Advisory Partners.
  • Evangelize and coach sales growth sales plays related to supply chain management solutions with our Field organization including Sales, Pre-Sales and with key customers.
  • Develop and enhance the end-to-end supply chain solutions and extended synergies demo environment used by Pre-Sales.

Requirements

  • A University degree in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Sciences, or Chemical Engineering is required. An MBA would be an advantage.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated skills in delivering supply chain management planning and scheduling solutions to customers in the process manufacturing industries; including at least 3+ years of consultative experience in a pre-sales role.
  • Prior Product Management experience would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience in the use, configuration and adoption of AspenTech's Supply Chain Management solutions would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to create and articulate a strategy, influence others, build support from stakeholders, present to executives, and drive execution of the strategy.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and industry insights to assess the tradeoffs across technology, operations, business processes, people, and costs.
  • Strong individual initiative and ownership, driven for results, and motivated by impact.
  • Extremely well organized, detail-oriented, outcomes driven, and possessing a high level of integrity.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
