About the position
The Product Management Excellence Leader at ABB is responsible for supporting the Energy Industries division in delivering comprehensive electrification and automation solutions, including software products and lifecycle services. This global role focuses on managing a software project development portfolio, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of commercial software, and enhancing software development processes through AGILE and SAFE methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for global software project development portfolio including sprint planning and product release burndown planning.
- Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, R&D leaders, and quality engineers to deliver commercial software on time and on budget based on business needs.
- Own and improve global software development processes with a focus on product readiness and quality.
- Overhaul the software delivery process including training, equipping, supporting, and driving the global product organization to better use AGILE and SAFE.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technically relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in software product management and/or product development.
- 5+ years of experience in software program management.
- Experience in transforming product managers and development teams to agile development.
- Growth mindset and servant-leader approach with change management skills in matrixed industrial organizations.
- Ability to pivot quickly based on new data and build credibility with customers and stakeholders.
- Skilled in prioritization and evidence-based decision making.
