About the position

The Product Manager will oversee Balance Transfers and Rate Sales for Citi's Proprietary and Co-Branded Card portfolios, focusing on driving sales volumes, portfolio growth, and revenue generation. This role involves defining product strategy, executing plans with cross-functional teams, and modernizing the product offerings to enhance customer experience and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and drive implementation plan for all Branded Cards portfolios.
  • Deliver Plan Sales, ANR, Revenue, and EBIT commitments.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to enhance profitability and returns.
  • Advocate for new investments in technology and marketing to build features that digitize and modernize products.
  • Design and analyze market research to understand consumer needs and identify unmet needs.
  • Lead competitive analysis and research to inform product strategy.
  • Enhance the value proposition by developing capabilities in partnership with Card product teams.
  • Implement a seamless customer experience by collaborating with Technology and Digital teams.
  • Partner with Marketing, Risk, and Analytics to optimize pricing and response models.
  • Leverage test results to create a disciplined test agenda for continuous improvement.
  • Identify new opportunities to promote and optimize offers through the lending continuum.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management to align programs with risk appetite framework.
  • Motivate and grow a team of professionals, conducting performance evaluations and personnel duties.
  • Enhance the control environment and ensure governance of lending products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with 15+ years of experience.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and managing teams effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to define business strategy and tactical plans.
  • Deep knowledge of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing team members.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of product architecture and backend systems related to Balance Transfer products.
  • Ability to drive innovation and change within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems and lead to solutions under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in consumer financial services or lending products.
  • Familiarity with digital product development and user experience design.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and its application in product management.
