About the position

As a Product Management Senior Group Manager in Digital Technology at Citi, you will oversee multiple teams within the Digital Engineering space, focusing on the Emerging Tech team. This role is pivotal in driving strategic objectives, aligning the function's activities with broader business goals, and managing the execution of functional strategies. You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge and practical skills in digital technology and product management to influence business decisions and enhance customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles; visibly ties department decisions to leadership principles
  • Own long-term strategic view (3-5 years) and complete platform portfolio within his / her category / division
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to help drive strategic direction and investment decisions
  • Own development and communicate the long-term vision and goals that drive the working backwards strategies for a portfolio of platform products
  • Understand domain and competitive landscape; may lead company-wide decision making for the platform product domain
  • Inspire a culture of 'test and learn' experimentation and innovation to solve core business and end customer needs in the platform product domain
  • Leverage customer research, feedback, competitive analysis and industry trends to drive investment choices that will cultivate long-term innovation for the business and customer
  • Own 'test and learn' roadmap to inform the platform product portfolio
  • Own organizational planning and serve as the representative to Executives
  • Compile content for periodic Exec level communications, reviews and updates
  • Continuously monitor the KPIs of portfolio and review regularly with technology peers and business partners
  • Primary interface with the Business and stakeholders
  • Make trade off decisions for category / division platform product portfolio
  • Own business and platform requirements for a large enterprise or portfolio of platform products
  • Set the direction for the platform design for a large enterprise or portfolio of platform products
  • Determine release goals for a large enterprise portfolio of platform products
  • Create a comprehensive user experience for an entire customer domain using various design thinking techniques
  • Develop method for prioritization and triage of new changes and defects for team to apply, make key decisions on showstoppers and end product quality
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role
  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing a Product Management Team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent
  • Understanding of Agile principles, Scrum, and other iterative development approaches
  • Technical acumen in cloud services, microservices architecture, and API integrations
  • Proficiency in data analytics and tools such as SQL, Python, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices to ensure the platform meets security standards
  • Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Aha! for product road mapping and backlog management
