Product Manager 3 - Technical

About the position

PayPal, Inc. seeks Product Manager 3 - Technical in San Jose, CA. The role involves assessing and reviewing data collection, model building, testing and validation, and developing implementation system-plans and technical concepts. The candidate will apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customer needs and translate product needs to technology directives. Responsibilities

• Assess and review data collection, model building, testing and validation.
• Develop implementation system-plans and technical concepts.
• Apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customer needs.
• Translate product needs to technology directives.
• Participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs.
• Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
• Utilize knowledge and experience in product management, product development and architecture design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrated ability with data collection, model building, and validation.
• Experience with machine learning technologies and applications.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP).
• Experience with time series forecasting and regression methods.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R.
• Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
• Ability to explore and structure customers' insights.
