About the position

The Product Manager role at Truist Bank is focused on balancing business, technology, and design priorities to deliver exceptional product and service experiences. This position involves working closely with the Product Owner to translate the vision into actionable items for the Agile delivery team, while also developing and maintaining a strategic delivery roadmap aligned with business goals. The role requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution, including monitoring customer experience and driving business demand.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and learn about a target client segment to understand their financial needs.
  • Analyze the market and competitive environment to define a differentiated product vision.
  • Collaborate with partners to align on strategy and develop a delivery roadmap.
  • Engage key stakeholders in the planning and execution of projects.
  • Write epics and features to support the defined roadmap and prioritize across teams.
  • Set Planning Increment (PI) vision and partner with product owners on feature prioritization.
  • Develop feature backlog roadmap, leading deliverables including discovery and usability studies.
  • Obtain partner alignment and approvals for various processes.
  • Set pricing and ensure billing processes are followed.
  • Create and track product metrics to inform strategy and roadmap.
  • Work with Readiness to create client and teammate facing content.
  • Ensure compliance with Product Management Lifecycle (PML) processes and support risk presentations.
  • Attend Agile ceremonies as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of banking, financial services, or relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of product, analysis, technology, and/or design experience.
  • Three or more years of leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in high-level strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • Experience defining and delivering large-scale online initiatives.
  • Proven ability to use data analytics and research to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Comfortable managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working as a Product Manager for Agile teams.
  • Experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore).
  • Certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (or equivalent).
