About the position

The Product Manager I at NextGen Healthcare is responsible for managing the technology lifecycle of new products, features, or enhancements. This role involves driving the roadmap and direction of financial solutions, partnering with customers and stakeholders, and performing market research to identify opportunities for product innovation. The Product Manager will also manage products through launch phases, contribute to quality assurance testing, and assist with client escalations and negotiations related to third-party solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the technology lifecycle of new products, features, or enhancements from conceptualization to release.
  • Drive the roadmap and direction of financial solutions by defining long- and short-term strategies.
  • Partner with customers and stakeholders to identify cross-product dependencies.
  • Perform research and analyze market conditions to identify key competitors and market opportunities.
  • Define business plans, strategy, and tactical work plans for integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage products through launch phases and follow-up releases, contributing to quality assurance testing.
  • Review and contribute to product specifications and prepare related documents for product release.
  • Review and contribute to pricing strategies, product policies, and discounting methodologies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Development and QA resources to ensure timely product releases.
  • Conduct focus groups and perform needs analysis activities.
  • Translate market requirements into viable solutions and validate them through Sprint Demos.
  • Participate in signoff approvals, user-centered design activities, and user acceptance testing meetings.
  • Assist account executives and account managers with client escalations and support.
  • Assist business partners through the negotiation process related to third-party solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in practice management and product management or business analysis.
  • Technical knowledge of product lifecycle and roadmap best practices.
  • Management, communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, strategic, and technical expertise skills.
  • Data analytics and research skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and build relationships.
