About the position

The position involves a comprehensive market analysis and crop strategy development for Cucurbit and Pepper crops. The candidate will be responsible for recommending crop strategies that align with the company's ambition and market share targets. This includes providing direction for marketing, research, seed technology, and development, as well as creating action plans, follow-ups, and corrective actions. Additionally, the role requires providing orientation to regional breeding programs by determining breeding objectives for targeted markets and product specifications at mid and long-term levels, supporting breeding projects according to product definitions. The candidate will also assess the pipeline and recommend new varieties from breeding into development and commercial stages, while creating and updating product profiles for each Product Market Combination. A key aspect of the role is to maintain a deep and updated knowledge of the crops within the designated perimeter and to define future trends and requests based on agronomy, customer, and consumer insights.

Responsibilities

• Recommend crop strategy for Cucurbit and Pepper crops and execute across the company.
• Provide orientation to regional breeding programs by determining breeding objectives for targeted markets.
• Support breeding projects according to product definition.
• Assess pipeline and recommend new varieties from breeding into development and commercial.
• Create and update product profiles per Product Market Combination.
• Show deep and updated knowledge of crops and define future trends and requests.

Requirements

• Experience in market analysis and crop strategy development.
• Strong understanding of breeding objectives and product specifications.
• Ability to assess trial results and determine product performance.
• Experience in coordinating sales and development teams.
• Knowledge of Go-to-market approaches and pricing strategies.
