About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. The Content Platform Product Team at TikTok is focused on building a global copyright content management platform that protects original copyright content. We are seeking experienced product managers who can solve complex problems across time zones and possess the spirit of exploration to actively discover the needs and problems of our users. The role involves designing and executing product strategies and features based on a deep understanding of creator needs, as well as familiarity with content supply, moderation, and distribution strategies. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality entertainment content and fostering creators' growth to bring more creativity and value to TikTok. You will conduct research on content products and the entertainment industry worldwide to discover new opportunities. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Data, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams to drive success. This position requires a logical thinker who can understand complicated situations, define problems, and develop effective approaches to achieve goals. Empathy for users is essential, as you will need to deeply understand creators' demands and work towards fulfilling them.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for high quality entertainment content and creators' growth, to bring more creativity and value to TikTok.
  • Design and execute product strategies and features, based on a deep understanding of creator needs, as well as familiarity with content supply, moderation, and distribution strategies.
  • Conduct research on content products and entertainment industries worldwide, to discover new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Data, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams to drive our success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above, with English as a working language.
  • 3+ years of working experience in internet content platform companies, with insights into content products worldwide.
  • Strong logical thinking skills, able to understand complicated situations, define problems, and develop approaches to achieve goals.
  • Good global understanding, communication, coordination, and result-oriented skills.
  • Empathy for users, with the ability to deeply understand creators' demands.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of recommendation systems, machine learning, and A/B testing is a plus.
  • Good data sense, skillful at SQL is a plus.
  • Working experience in the entertainment industry and experience working overseas is a plus.
