About the position

The Product Manager for Customer Journeys at BMO US is responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from strategic planning to market launch. This role focuses on bridging business requirements with technology capabilities, ensuring that products deliver significant business value and enhance customer experiences. The Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage product backlogs, and drive stakeholder engagement to ensure successful product adoption and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the full product development lifecycle from strategic objective to market launch.
  • Research, investigate, select, and develop products and services that bridge business requirements with technology capabilities.
  • Drive end-to-end product lifecycle including persona development, proof of concepts, backlog management, and product activation.
  • Provide the voice of the business to cross-functional product teams to clarify feature, story, and content requirements.
  • Create story acceptance criteria and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Translate the product vision into a roadmap and actionable tasks.
  • Identify overall product goals and drive stakeholder engagement for product adoption.
  • Define and prioritize customer experience initiatives that focus on customer needs.
  • Ensure product management and development teams work effectively and efficiently together.
  • Monitor and track product performance and address any issues that arise.
  • Establish go-to-market, pricing, and positioning strategies.
  • Plan and manage budget, timeline, and tactical components throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Identify and analyze market trends to improve product usability.
  • Ensure new products or features are desirable, viable, and functional.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in product management or related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency in product development and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making and influence skills.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies in product lifecycle management.
