About the position

The Product Manager for Data Acquisition, Automation, Modeling & Simulation at Syensqo is responsible for managing and driving the success of a portfolio of digital solutions that support research and innovation activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, adept at working in an Agile environment and delivering innovative digital products that enhance operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for the Data Acquisition, Automation, Modeling & Simulation portfolio.
  • Align product strategy with business objectives and market needs, ensuring a clear vision and direction for product development and acquisition.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, mainly researchers, to validate and refine the product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related matters, ensuring effective communication and alignment across teams.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch support.
  • Monitor product performance and usage metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize product features and user experience.
  • Maintain detailed product documentation, including product requirements, user guides, and release notes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product status, performance, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in Data Acquisition, Automation, Modeling & Simulation.
  • Experience with digital product development, data analytics, and software engineering processes.
  • Understanding or passion for the chemical industry, including challenges related to Data Acquisition from research and innovation equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or product ownership.

  • Experience in the chemical or industrial sector is a plus.
