About the position

iCapital is seeking a highly motivated Junior Product Manager to join the Data Organization, focusing on building out iCapital's reference data platform. This role involves working in a team-oriented environment to enhance data accuracy and completeness across the company, while also supporting clients with their reference data management needs. The ideal candidate will engage with end users, identify unmet needs, define requirements, and develop project communication plans, all while utilizing the latest technologies and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with various Product and Technology teams in the development of product roadmaps that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Create and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) post-production release to evaluate product success and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with business teams to identify pain points and find areas of opportunity for the use of technology.
  • Help lead engagement with end users to identify and deliver solutions to core functional areas and user experiences.
  • Collaborate with UX Design teams, Technology, and other partners in scoping different solutions, writing user stories, and preparing the organization for product launches.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business impacts and manage concurrent requests and requirements.
  • Work closely with business teams to capture all requirements and enhance user experience through innovative solutions.
  • Monitor the performance of the product and continuously improve it throughout all life stages.
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape from a business and legal compliance perspective.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in product management in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Critical thinker and comfortable with the unknown.
  • Willingness to dig deep, analyze, and understand the intricacies of processes.
  • Natural problem solver driven to push initiatives to conclusions.
  • Great communicator, comfortable engaging others for ideas and resolutions.
  • Comfort with leveraging SQL and generating conclusions based on data.
  • Capable of managing requests and priorities effectively.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to construct wireframes and design user experiences.
  • Capable of building relationships to gain buy-in and achieve business results.
  • History of customer-centric focus with quick and thoughtful problem-solving skills.
  • Financial technology background is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise with QA testing and business analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Experience in financial technology is strongly preferred.
