About the position

The Product Manager at CreditSights will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of data product offerings. This role involves leading cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, from conception to launch, with a strong focus on data products and data management. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in product management, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business objectives and customer feedback.
  • Gather high-level requirements, group them logically by initiative or epic, sequence, and prioritize.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product development and successful product delivery.
  • Lead agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure product features meet market demands.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including product launches, marketing campaigns, and sales enablement activities.
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics to inform future development and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Address and resolve issues with current products, providing timely solutions based on customer feedback.
  • Identify and develop talent within the product team, ensuring that the team structure supports strategic goals.
  • Work closely with executive leadership, Chapter leads, and centers of excellence to ensure alignment and remove blockers.
  • Manage the product budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking capitalized projects.
  • Ensure all product releases meet quality standards and maintain ongoing service levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the FinTech or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Solid understanding of software development and financial data management practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking, and experience working with remote teams.
