About the position

The Product Manager for Data, Digital & Technology Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of LIMS designed for managing blood plasma testing across donor collection centers in the US and EU. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful global deployment and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision and strategy for the LIMS product.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Lead to plan and execute LIMS implementation across US and EU laboratories.
  • Engage with laboratory staff and stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for LIMS functionality.
  • Collaborate with development teams to convert requirements into actionable user stories and features.
  • Manage the deployment process in each lab, ensuring timely and compliant implementations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all LIMS-related product matters.
  • Support quality assurance and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
  • Develop and deliver training programs tailored to each laboratory's needs.
  • Ensure LIMS compliance with relevant regulations, including CLIA, FDA, and EMA.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for LIMS.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role.
  • 10+ years of experience with LIMS in a laboratory or healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Roche Cobas p512, Abbott Alinity, and Roche Cobas 6800/8800.
  • Strong preference for experience with StarLIMS and Data Innovations' Instrument Manager.
  • Strong familiarity with CLIA, FDA, and EMA regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing international projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations and workflows.
  • Experience in global implementation strategies.
