About the position

The Product Manager for Data & ML Infrastructure at Figma will lead the development and management of core data systems that support the company's mission to make design accessible to all. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes, enabling innovative product improvements through AI capabilities. The position is fully remote or can be based in one of Figma's US hubs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong understanding of the data needs across the company
• Define a vision for core data systems, such as Figma's data catalog
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design infrastructure for AI/ML model training, deployment, and serving
• Set strategy and priorities for teams and projects in collaboration with engineering

Requirements

• 4+ years in a technical product management role
• Experience driving product for developer experiences, tools, workflows, and/or infrastructure
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex projects
• Proven track record of implementing the full lifecycle of ML model development and deployment
• Experience in data warehousing/lakehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Iceberg)
• Experience in data job orchestration (e.g., Dagster, Airflow)
• Experience in batch and stream processing systems (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Flink)
• Experience in data cataloging, discoverability, and life-cycle management
• Experience in data science models, integrations or data pipeline development (DBT, Fivetran, AirByte)

• Demonstrated ability bringing a product-centric and user-centric mindset to projects
• Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience working as an engineer
• Experience working on models supporting generative AI use cases and/or LLMs
