About the position

As a Platform Product Manager at Zepz, you will be responsible for overseeing the roadmap of the Data Engineering team and sharing ownership of the Zepz data platform. This role involves improving data availability, quality, and usability while working closely with engineering and other stakeholders. You will engage in data-heavy projects to solve business problems, design iterative solutions, and ensure successful implementation and measurement of impact.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the team's overall roadmap and share ownership of the Zepz data platform.
• Work with engineering to improve data availability, quality, and usability.
• Engage in specific data-heavy projects to solve business problems.
• Understand user needs by conversing with business users and examining analytics.
• Design solutions that can be implemented iteratively with the engineering team.
• Prioritize tasks and ensure they are built to specification and shipped.
• Measure the impact of solutions to ensure they address the identified problems.

Requirements

• A few years of professional product management experience in a high-growth, data-intensive environment.
• Ability to articulate problems and scope fast iterations to deliver customer and business value.
• Data-savviness and a strong investigative nature.
• Willingness to learn and use new tools, write SQL, and analyze data quickly.
• Strong project management skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Clear communication skills for cross-domain collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data stack tools like Databricks, Astronomer/Airflow, Mode, dbt, and Metaplane.
• Creativity and flexibility in handling ambiguity.
• Experience in a data-driven environment contributing to institutional knowledge through data and analytics.
