About the position

As a Product Manager for Data within TikTok Commerce, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of e-commerce on our platform. The e-commerce industry has experienced significant growth, and TikTok is uniquely positioned to deliver an innovative and secure e-commerce experience to our users. We are seeking passionate and talented individuals to join our product and operations team to build an e-commerce ecosystem that is intuitive and user-friendly. In this role, you will be responsible for quickly producing data products tailored for the international market, leveraging market characteristics and industry data standards. You will provide our Merchants, Creators, and Partners with data monitoring and analytical solutions, ensuring they can achieve their growth objectives. Additionally, you will support our internal operations team by understanding our core business needs and analytics requests, producing data products that facilitate informed decision-making. Your responsibilities will include thoughtfully planning data product functions by analyzing various e-commerce data indicators and employing analytical models and data science methodologies to guide both internal and external clients. You will also be tasked with writing logical and comprehensive product requirements documents, ensuring that product interactions and visions align with user experiences across different markets. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a collaborative spirit to drive product improvements and successful project launches.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly produce data products for the international market based on market characteristics and industry data standards
  • Provide Merchants, Creators, and Partners with data monitoring and analytical solutions to help them reach their growth goals
  • Produce data products that support the internal operations team by understanding core business needs and analytics requests
  • Thoughtfully plan data product functions by analyzing various e-commerce data indicators
  • Use analytical models and data science methodologies to provide guidance for internal and external clients
  • Write logical and thoughtful product requirements documents
  • Align interaction and vision to ensure products conform to specific user experiences in different markets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer science, mathematics, or statistics
  • At least 4+ years of data product planning and design experience; experience in merchant or other data product design is preferred
  • Strong interest in the e-commerce and big data industries; strong data analysis and mining skills
  • Proficient in using Axure/Xmind and other design tools; familiar with product flow chart drawing and PRD writing
  • Proficient in SQL language; able to identify and solve problems through data
  • Project management experience with strong execution skills
  • Excellent team cooperation, communication, and coordination abilities
