About the position

The Deal Management Product Manager at CoBank is responsible for driving product strategy and development efforts within the organization. This role involves defining the product portfolio roadmap, leading a team to align capabilities with company goals, and ensuring adherence to the SAFe Agile framework. The Product Manager will oversee the deal management value stream, optimize product performance, enhance customer experience, and support the growth of customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Directs activities with Executive Leadership and the Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) team to define and implement the bank's strategy.
  • Accountable for the alignment and delivery of the bank's Digital First movement, managing planning and delivery of key themes.
  • Manages a team of Product Managers and associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and productivity standards.
  • Drives product objectives with business outcomes, utilizing design thinking and customer feedback.
  • Ensures alignment of the strategic roadmap with the Head of Product and overall product vision.
  • Collaborates with Executive Leadership to ensure the digital product is user-friendly and meets customer needs.
  • Defines and manages expectations and success criteria through product performance analysis.
  • Manages the product development budget in partnership with LPM, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Oversees evaluation and prioritization of product changes and enhancements, working within SAFe Agile.
  • Drives optimization of supporting sub-processes to maximize end-to-end process success.
  • Manages product roadmap, dashboards, and reports for effective oversight.
  • Maintains competitiveness by understanding the market and customer landscape.
  • Ensures product compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in financial institutions required.
  • 8 years of product management, strategy, or consulting experience required.
  • 6 years of experience in the financial services industry required.
  • 6 years of people management experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology.

  • Experience in enterprise-wide design, development, and implementation of product plans.
  • Thought leadership in identifying and managing potential risks impacting digital product success.
