About the position

As a Product Manager at Thomson Reuters, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the global knowledge economy through our Digital Commerce Platform. This position involves owning, enhancing, and optimizing the platform by building new capabilities and features that facilitate our customers' ability to buy, try, and renew Thomson Reuters products and services. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive product vision, strategy, and roadmap, while setting key business objectives (OKRs) to guide the product's direction. Your work will involve close collaboration with our growth function to conduct rapid experiments, customer research, and data-driven improvements to enhance user experience. As the voice of the product, you will communicate with key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and that the product development team receives the necessary direction and support. You will maintain a product roadmap and backlog that outlines customer themes, epics, and stories, prioritizing work that delivers maximum business value. Your leadership will inspire others to achieve high standards of performance and foster a sense of urgency to meet goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a bold product vision, strategy, and roadmap that inspires teams to realize the vision.
  • Conduct market and trend analysis to inspire world-class solutions and experiences.
  • Leverage customer insights from user experience research and analytics to drive continuous solution improvement.
  • Accountable for the development and health of the product, driving strategy and roadmap using customer analytics for prioritization.
  • Maintain and refine a backlog, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing stories for maximum business value.
  • Ensure stories communicate customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product.
  • Work in an Agile scrum team, ensuring alignment around common goals and objectives.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high performance standards while committing to the organization's direction.
  • Demonstrate a high say/do ratio and hold others accountable to the same.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a product manager of a B2B or B2C digital platform shipping multiple products and features focused on e-commerce.
  • Experience in Agile (Scrum preferred) environment with a proven understanding of the development life cycle.
  • Proven ability to take initiative within a matrix organization and build strong relationships based on excellent communication skills.
  • History of partnering with architects and engineers in writing clear user stories.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve bold strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop an inspiring product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology.
  • Ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams.
