About the position

The Product Manager for Digital & Marketing at Walgreens is responsible for the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives aimed at driving traffic, conversion, revenue growth, and profitability for the online channels. This role requires close collaboration with IT, Marketing, and various non-eCommerce entities within Walgreens. The Product Manager will translate divisional sales goals and customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap for key product areas. This includes developing and maintaining the product and feature roadmap for the assigned area, managing prioritization among user experience, technology, and central marketing organizations, and proactively identifying and resolving strategic issues that may hinder the team's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals. In this position, the Product Manager will work closely with engineering technology teams and user interface designers to define detailed key product requirements. They will also manage, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts or Associate Product Managers, fostering growth in the adoption and usage of the Walgreens front-end store business. The role involves identifying and quantifying customer segments with strong growth potential, developing business cases and strategies for targeting these segments, and implementing growth strategies by coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver necessary changes. Additionally, the Product Manager will measure and analyze the impact of existing functionalities, identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, and build strong internal relationships with technology and development teams to drive implementation. The position also requires conducting business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting. The Product Manager will write well-informed business requirements based on data, discussions with stakeholders, and their own insights, refining and driving these requirements to conclusion through effective communication and proactive engagement with the appropriate individuals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of product management experience in online technology or management strategy consulting, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of product management experience in online technology or management strategy consulting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in consumer-facing online commerce.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product marketing, product/program management, business development, or management consulting.
  • Experience in eCommerce areas such as Content Tools and Processes, Search & Browse, SEO/SEM, or Cart and Checkout.
  • Experience working with the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues and trends for improvement.
  • Experience leading or collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that meet goals within budget and timelines.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and implementing strategies to resolve them.
  • At least 1 year of direct or indirect leadership experience.
