About the position

As a Product Manager for Digital Marketing Enablement at IXL Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data-driven strategies that underpin our digital marketing initiatives. This position is based in our San Mateo, CA headquarters and is a full-time opportunity. Your primary responsibility will be to design a comprehensive data pipeline that supplies our marketing teams with the necessary data to execute multi-channel digital marketing campaigns effectively. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that our marketing efforts align with our strategic business goals and operational needs. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of IXL's digital marketing landscape and its critical importance to our overall business strategy. You will collaborate with our digital marketing and email marketing teams to enhance our outreach and engagement with both current and prospective customers. A significant part of your job will involve analyzing our existing data, understanding its organization, and leveraging it to create impactful, targeted marketing strategies. You will be tasked with designing elegant and robust solutions that address specific business needs while aligning with our broader business strategy. This includes providing detailed written specifications for each solution you propose. Additionally, you will help define our approach to tackling various issues and opportunities, focusing on effective integrations with other systems to create new functionalities and enhance existing ones. Your role will also involve designing data stores and pipelines that optimize digital marketing performance and efficiency, enabling rapid experimentation. You will collaborate with engineering teams to build and deploy a robust data pipeline that supports our digital marketing operations, ensuring that our marketing teams have the tools and data they need to succeed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management.
  • Experience in multi-channel digital marketing enablement, particularly in email marketing, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL is essential.
  • Understanding of data pipeline architecture and best practices is required.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary.
  • Independent and highly motivated with a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Extremely strong analytical skills to provide high-quality, efficient, and creative solutions to complex problems.
