About the position

The Product Manager for Digital Payments in North America at Mastercard is responsible for leading the development and commercialization of digital payment products, focusing on network tokenization, checkout, and card provisioning. This role involves managing relationships with major financial institutions and merchants, ensuring the successful implementation and launch of services, and driving innovation in the digital payments space. The position requires collaboration with various internal stakeholders to enhance Mastercard's digital capabilities and optimize the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the future of digital checkout with a focus on monetization, checkout conversion, and transaction success optimization.
  • Manage end-to-end product responsibilities for the digital checkout and card provisioning experiences.
  • Incorporate Voice of Customer feedback into product management decisions at regional and global levels.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Management to enhance Mastercard's digital capabilities.
  • Establish clear value propositions for merchants and issuers, along with sales enablement materials.
  • Identify industry trends and opportunities to expand Mastercard's reach in digital payments.
  • Conduct market landscape analysis to identify new customer segments for enablement efforts.
  • Define and build the roadmap for Value-Added Services workstream, including services like Pay with Points.

Requirements

  • Strong product management expertise with a proven ability to execute complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in synthesizing large datasets to inform product development.
  • Ability to articulate customer business requirements for internal sizing and development.
  • Willingness to collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize and influence product development.
  • Experience working with account managers and engineers to design and launch products.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, capable of leading customer-facing conversations.
  • Proven ability to build trust in cross-functional relationships and act as a team player.
  • Forward-thinking with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in building/designing digital acceptance and card provisioning solutions (nice to have).
